Letter from The Founder

It's been almost nine years since the Lord sealed a dream within my heart. A dream to create a place, a school, where His artists could go and be trained to be technically proficient in their art form, biblically grounded in the Word of God, and spiritually discerning as they look to God for His empowerment. A place that would instill a desire within these artists to pursue quality and integrity in their art form, as well as ignite a passion within each of them to use their honed skills to influence our culture and thus further the kingdom of God.

In September of 2004, the time finally arrived to pursue the dream and begin seeing it come to fruition. If I may, please allow me to share with you what God has done in just under two short years. Since the launch of our school, we have offered multiple classes in dance, theatre, fine arts, media, vocal and instrumental music and have registered an accumulative total of over 700 students, representing 25 different church homes. Additionally, we have produced 11 unique productions, and ministered to over 6100 audience members, each show producing a harvest of testimonies from students, parents, volunteers, and those in attendance...and we have only just begun to scratch the surface.

This fall we will officially launch our Overture Division, a program designed for those students who are seriously investigating their artistic gifts and their relationship with Christ. This division, that really reflects my heart, will allow us to begin the process of mentoring and investing in these students, who I believe to be God's future army of artists.

In the C.S. Lewis Classic, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, there is this line, “Aslan is on the move!” And so, I believe, is our King. The time has come for God's artists to prepare, form ranks, and take back the arts and establish them for Christ. To not only raise the standard but become the standard both artistically and spiritually for our world. With this in mind, the launch of our Overture Division, and eventually our Ministering Arts Division in August 2007, we are on mission to do just that.

It is our prayer that God will speak to you about partnering with us in this great adventure - through your registrations, prayers, volunteer service and/or tax-deductible donations. The time has come and the King is on the move. Won't you join us, as we join Him?
